The process for this piece. I created a digital collage including an original component of a work of art that impacted me the most during my art education. I paint over the work while semi preserving the “ original “ masters work while weaving it into a new contemporary piece.
This piece is literally PACKED with symbolism, context and meaning. Not in just the imagery but in the entire process from start to finish.
This original mixed media piece measures 16x20 inches on archival paper. The white bleed around the painting in the picture of the artist holding the work has been removed. This piece will need to be framed. This piece is awarded with a certificate of authenticity.
