I am proud to have a portrait of the artist of my growing collection! It is thought-provoking to figure out the symbolism in the painting. I believe the frog in your throat and the title Chokeberry are references to the swallowing symptoms of your illness. The white lines along the left side look like spine bones and might refer to the mysterious pains that frighten and disturb you.
There’s a little hallway “Freitas Gallery” in my home that is awaiting a curatorial arrangement and installation. I will send you a photo when it is complete.
